Looks like a nice historical place to visit or live...we don't have that much historical places in Weston because it was incorporated in 1996.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Robert and Lisa - really enjoyed your spotlight visit. Great architecture. Hope you have enjoyed the holiday season.
Jeff
You do such a great job on taking the reader there, with you! It is so descriptive and the photos are excellent. I'd love to visit some day!
Hi Neal,
Nice to hear from you! Our area is very historical which is one of the reasons why we love it so much. Having both grown up in this area it has a real comforting feel to it. We wish you and yours Happy Holidays as well!
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for visiting! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Hi Kristin,
Thanks for your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed your visit with us. We hope to see you again real soon. Happy Holidays to you!
When I was five years old in 1962 my father finished building our house at 12 Vivian Avenue Emerson. I started kindergarten at Memorial School with Mrs. Snedeker and Miss Oliva. First and second grade were both with Mrs. Curving. My friend were Christina Pappas, Tommy & Richie Ferrari, Gary Holtzman, Rcky Zalia and Mark Horowitz. I'm now 52 and live in Beverly Hills, California and look back at that time of my life as the happiest. Emerson was the best America had to offer. I hope it hasn't changed.
Hi Larry,
We've actually spoken to your Dad in the past. Emerson is still coined "The Family Town" and is still very much a very pleasant small town atmosphere. Certainly some things have changed through the years as landmarks such as The Bowling Alley, The Emerson Pharmacy and the Cookie Cupboard have given way to more updated and modern storefronts. But it still has that same Small Town America feel to it. Thanks for stopping by our Blog and we hope you enjoyed reminiscing!
