You guys still post some of my favorite Localism stuff! Keep up the great efforts! Happy New Year!
Awe, Rich....You're the best! Hey Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays too!
You guys take the best photos! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!
Love the small town perspective! I live in a small town, too, many benefits to that, wish I had thought of doing a post about small towns. :)
Looks pretty--is it a bedroom community to NYC?
Lisa and Robert I love small towns, your presentation at Montvale makes it rather inviting.
Robert & Lisa -- Nice feature! This was the inspiration I needed to get out and take some photos of my neighborhood!
Hi Lisa and Robert, yes I must agree with you it is BEAUTIFUL. I recently had the pleasure to work with KHovnanian on their Christmas Open House of their new development. My design assistant and I spent the day speaking to sellers about the value in Staging their Home for sale and all were treated to a Horse and Buggy ride through the development followed by good food and hot chocolate. A bit like Christmas's past!
If you are considering working with a home staging professional in 2009, I would love to meet with you.
Happy New Year

This post was inspiring to me. I have some ideas for my own "small town" video.
Very Nicely Done, Lisa and Robert...the background music is perfect for a small town atmosphere! Do you mind sharing some tips on doing a video as I would love to create on of our neighborhood!
Great Post!
Happy Holidays,
Shawn
Looks like a nice place to live, but I'm afraid it would get too cold to suit me in the winter.
Bob & Lisa excellent work putting this article together on Montvale NJ. It is easy to see why it is a popular spot.
A great localism post. I'm going to try and do one for our small historical town of Lewisburg.
Hi Lisa and Bob - as always, very nicely done, and you do sell your areas beautifully, through your pictures and your words.
Ann
Hi Kay,
Thanks for your kind words. That's Bob - he loves taking pictures of our old hometowns.
Hi Virginia,
It's never too late! Just go out and have fun with it!
Hi Diane,
That's so funny - haven't heard that term used since my Mother used it. I guess you are right - it is a bedroom community for all the people who work in NYC.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks! It really is a nice community.
Hi Kerry,
So glad we can inspire you!
Hi Nannette,
We love doing these localism posts and we are really happy if it inspires others.
Hi Shawn,
Just go to see Real Estate Shows and Jeff Turner right here on Active Rain!
Hi Colleen,
It's actually pretty warm these last couple of days - 50's and 60's but I guess you have to like the snow that comes occassionally.
Hi Bill,
Appreciate your stopping by. It really is a nice place!
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks and we hope you enjoy doing it!
Hi Ann,
Thanks so much for your kind words. We hope you had a pleasant Christmas. Hope you don't have too much snow. We got some and it was so pretty but glad to see it gone after all the shovelling.
This is a great representation of what should be posted on consumer blogs.
Nicely done!
Tamara
I would always take the DeCamp Bus line into New York City from my hometown. Nextimer I will stop in Montvale and try the red And Tan Line. Thank you for sharing.
Hi there, I have never been to Montvale, but it looks very nice. There are so many towns in New Jersey and they are all unique.
Ah the memories! I miss Huff's Ice Cream! Sorry to see the Roller Rink go this past year I think it was. Surprised to see the Bowling Lanes are still there. All the other lanes in the area are just about gone.
Nice post!
Hi Tamara,
What a nice thing to say. Thank you!
Hi Christine,
There really are beautiful and unique towns all across this great country. We're so happy to have Acitve Rain to give us all a platform to show off the areas we represent. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi James,
Thanks for stopping by. We're glad to provide you with some nice memories. It was sad to see the Rink go a couple of years ago but the area is still rich in it's many amenities for it's residents to enjoy.
Hi Lisa and Robert; Very nice post! This gives me some ideas of how to approach localism in my own area. Your post gives us a nice feel for the area.
Neat to see folks excited about small town real estate...smaller is better!
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for stopping by. We love your state - Maine and visit it whenever we can!
